The UW Office of Research, the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, the Information School, the NSF Institute for Foundations of Data Science (IFDS), and the eScience Institute partnered to initiate and support novel collaborations on four projects:

  • Revealing the Hidden Lives of Cryptic Carnivores with Machine Learning and AI (Abrahms & Harchaoui)
  • Foundations of Online Human Preference Adaptation for Trustworthy Human-AI Shared Autonomy (Leung, Gupta, & Fazel)
  • Deep Spatiotemporal Embedding for Multiscale Quantum Matter Analysis (Cao & Weng)
  • Data-Driven Optimization of Stochastic Computational Experiments (Choe & Jamison)

We anticipate hosting another seed grant opportunity in 2024.
